If you're using trillian, there is a "speaker" icon in the top right hand corner of the IRC window... click it and you'll never hear another word from Trillian in IRC =).

Oh just wanted to add, it's also why I don't get on IRC when I'm working because I can never ignore the beep. That's just the way I am sorry.

Actually, I use Trillian because it beeps me every time there's a new message in the window but that's precisely why I closed out the window last time I was on! LOL. I think one of your kids got on your computer and was typing random stuff so my comp was going "beeep... beep... beep.... beep" every 5 seconds or so and it was all gibberish (like this:ASDFASD AGTYTYJU ARYHJK WTUYTJS SAFGAGALKJLK;).

Hi. I'm the someone mentioned in the previous comment. I'm interested in providing original composition work. I've been composing for six years. I minor in music over at CSUF and been an instrumental musician for eight years. I have some completed works as far as "proof of ability" goes and I typically have a turn out time 3 or 4 days for a 2 to 3 minute comp.

I specialize in program music (which is music written based on outside stories) so this is something with which I have experience and can help. All I need is a description of a scene (plot, tone, etc.) and the time constraint. Let me know how you want to go about this. I'd really like to be a part of the project.

Hi, I'm really interested in helping with the coding and integration of the project. I have experience with toolsets and pick up new sets easily. Im majoring in Computer Science at Cal State Fullerton and that experience will help. I'd be glad to help out with this project in any way that I can. Since I think there might be a need for this later, I am opening this section up. This is for possible sound editors for VO lines and sound effects.

I have also run into someone who has some experience composing original music, which may be something we should look into. Having Enya and the previous music is good and all, but if we really want this to stand out I think we should have some more original stuff.

Mike and the other developers, what should anyone looking to come into this field show us as proof of their abilities?

I'm usually there so at least I can catch anything I miss. Also I don't think people realize its IM capabilities either. If someone is logged into the IRC server (not really just in the channel) they can recieve /msg's and if they're hooked in through trillian it will come in as if your buddy sent you an IM (you can even add IRC users to your buddy list!!!!)

But yeah, I'm there about all the time though... if I'm not in IRC its because my kids restarted my pc and I haven't gotten back yet.
