The above chat program is an IRC client. You can access our IRC chat without having to visit our website by downloading an “IRC Client” (see below) and connecting to irc.freenode.net and joining channel #darift.

Basic Commands
Join: /join #darift
Register Nick: /nick <desired Nickname> <enter>  /nickserv register <password> <email address>
Login/Identify: /nick <registered Nickname> <enter> /nickserv identify <password>

IRC Clients
mIRC:  Very advanced IRC chat program with the ability to install macros and bots for entertainment.
Trillian: An instant messaging program designed to combine all IM features from AIM, YIM, Gmail, and other instant messengers to a centralized location and program.
Pigin: Like Trillian but open-source and more “rough” looking.
