Last week, BioWare offered news both good and not-so-good to those not ready to put down the war banner in Dragon Age: Origins. On the positive side, BioWare announced Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening, a new, $40 campaign that sees players rebuilding the Grey Warden order following the events of the original game. However, the news came alongside BioWare’s decision to postpone the imminent launch of the Return to Ostagar add-on.
Whatever the problem holding up Return to Ostagar may have been, BioWare has apparently now rectified it. The developer announced today that the Xbox 360 edition of the add-on pack is now available. BioWare expects to roll out the PC installment later today, with the PlayStation 3 version due “soon”–possibly as part of tomorrow’s PlayStation Network update. The expansion pack runs for $5 (MSP 400).

anyway, this was out there on the 13th and i Still cannot download the dlc for pc. but xbox360 has it, i’ve confermed that.
They lie! hehe. I’m going back to twiddling my thumbs while waiting… or maybe I’ll create my 100th character and start playing it over. :p

It’s an announcement saying that the update introduced a bug that caused specializations to not work in the game so they were pulling it.

“Whatever the problem holding up Return to Ostagar” I have a conspiracy theory if you would entertain me here…
1) BioWare starts development of RTO in the same time-frame the Rift Project starts.
2) Rift Project officially announces its intentions and path in December (25thish).
3) BioWare places RTO on the back-burner and starts pumping out DA:O:A
Why 3? Think about it, we’re planning on offering an entire expansion’s worth of content and features at no cost to the user. If they can hurry up and get an equivalent expansion out before or during the time we do; they make the profits, consequentially overshadowing our project. Possibly just a coincidence, I know, but it is the most coincidental coincidence I have ever run into.
